Sample Sewing Machinist Wanted

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced sewing machinist to join Textile Lab for sample sewing and small production runs.

This role is ideal for someone who takes real pride in their workmanship and loves creating beautifully finished garments. You will be working on a variety of projects for designers, artists, and small brands, so attention to detail and consistency are essential.

You may work from our studio in Wandi or from home.

If working from home, you must have:

• An industrial straight sewing machine

• An industrial 5 thread overlocker (safety stitch machine)

You will need to be confident sewing from patterns, instructions, and production notes, and able to communicate clearly if anything needs clarification. We are a friendly team and value people who are reliable, skilled, and easy to work with.

What we are looking for

• Strong experience in garment sewing

• Excellent sample sewing skills

• Ability to sew small production runs with consistency

• High standard of finish and attention to detail

• Good understanding of garment construction

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
